Now, select the Properties tab (1) to view the properties for the selected pipeline node. This panel is broken down into three collapsible sections. In this image the Properties section is expanded while the Display and View sections (2) are collapsed. Sections can be expanded by clicking on their +/- entries.

Let's improve the geometry of the cylinder by increasing its "Resolution" property to 16 (3). After making this change, notice that the "Apply" button (4) has become enabled. Click it to see an updated rendering of the now smoother cylinder.

All changes made to parameters in the Properties section must be committed by clicking "Apply". Some parameter changes can result in expensive computations, so ParaView allows users to make multiple changes before committing them all at once. If you change parameter values and don't see the expected results in the rendering view, select each pipeline node in turn and check the enabled state of its "Apply" button. The "Apply" button only saves property changes for the selected pipeline node.
