Getting Started with R

This topic is a brief overview of R and the installation process. It ends with a short example consisting of a few R commands. The next topic explains the basics of the R language. Neither topic is a comprehensive discussion of R, but these materials will prepare you to engage with the various manuals available on the R website, or one of the many books on R.
Objectives
After you complete this topic, you should be able to:
- Download and install R and R Studio on your own computer
- Execute a basic sequence of R commands
Prerequisites
This topic assumes the reader has no prior experience with R. For following examples and exercises, some familiarity with statistical analysis would be helpful.
