Help and Tips
When you encounter unexpected behavior on the Frontera system, there are several sources of help you can turn to. We suggest that you:
- Read the Frontera User Guide, and take special note of the "Status Updates and Notices" on the dashboard
- Check the User News to see if there are system-wide events or issues you should know about
- Create a quick help ticket on the TACC website
- Create a ticket via the TACC User Portal
Before creating a ticket, you might also try a self-help utility provided by TACC, "sanitytool". It is able to detect certain issues with your account and your environment that are commonly responsible for trouble on Frontera. The tool even walks you through fixes for the problems it finds. To use it:
$ module load sanitytool
$ sanitycheck
