Steps to Access Frontera
  1. Confirm you have a Frontera allocation by logging into the Frontera User Portal and selecting "Allocations" from the sidebar menu. You should see a project with Frontera listed in the Systems column. (Alternatively, you can log in to the TACC User Portal and select "Projects & Allocations" from the sidebar menu to view similar information.) If you do not already have an allocation, you will need to request one; this will be covered in Allocations.
  2. If you have not done so already, set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for your TACC account.
  3. Use SSH to log in to Frontera. If you are unfamiliar with using SSH, please review Remote Connections in the Linux CVW topic.
The above command will connect you to an available login node. You can also use X11 forwarding with -X or -Y for graphical applications.

For more guidance on initial access, see the Frontera User Guide: Account Administration.
