We lay here the groundwork for running deep learning programs on TACC supercomputers. Regardless of whether you are using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or some other package, there are common issues that arise involving software installation, running jobs, and monitoring the performance of those jobs, which we describe here.

- Explain how to install packages, run jobs, and monitor performance on TACC systems
- Prepare yourself to run deep learning programs using TensorFlow and PyTorch
