Deep learning comprises a set of techniques for machine learning that leverage the power of multilayer neural networks to learn about patterns in, and to make predictions about, data. Here we provide an overview of this field, and introduce some of the key concepts underlying deep learning methods.

- Discuss the relationships among deep learning, machine learning, and artificial intelligence
- Explain the basic components of deep learning computations
