ParaView allows you to create visualizations from different types of data that are produced by scientific experiments and simulations. In order to use ParaView effectively, you must first understand some common computer graphics terminology and data types. After you understand the basics of ParaView, you may also want to access more detailed reference information.

After you complete this segment, you should be able to:

  • Define common computer graphics terms that are relevant to ParaView
  • List the major data types that can be used when generating visualizations with ParaView
  • Find additional information about ParaView
