If you would like to visualize your simulation or analysis results in a powerful computing environment, you can use the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) Analysis Portal to run ParaView on either the Frontera or Stampede3 supercomputers. The pages in this section describe how to do that.

Objectives

After you complete this segment, you should be able to:

  • List the three components of the ParaView desktop application
  • Demonstrate accessing ParaView through the TACC Analysis Portal
  • Demonstrate specifying values in the analysis portal to request a job
  • List steps to be completed before running ParaView through the TACC Analysis Portal
  • Demonstrate creating or selecting a server configuration
  • List the necessary steps to perform a test of ParaView in the TACC Analysis Portal
Prerequisites

To perform this exercise, you will need a TACC account to login to Frontera or Stampede3 and a computation allocation for Frontera or Stampede3.
