Globus transfers must take place between two computers that are running Globus Connect software. If your data is already on an institutional computer that supports Globus, or if your data can be copied to such a computer, then you are all set. But if you do not have access to an existing Globus endpoint, you will need to create one of your own by running Globus Connect software on your computer.

- Describe the purpose of the configuration UI
- Demonstrate setting endpoint properties
Prerequisites
- Complete the basic Globus Data Transfer topic.
- Have a familiarity with basic Linux shell commands, in particular those commands that work with files and folders.
